This little face brings me more joy than anything in the whole world. High points of the day: Coming home to the news that she slept 7.5 hours for Todd last night, walking in and watching her face light up when she sees me. Waking up with her crystal blue eyes just staring at me... I don't know how long she let me sleep while she was still awake, but I love her for it. The three naps she took today, and that moment where she tried to laugh and inhaled so hard she started coughing. The other high points--- today was not a grocery shopping day, I get a pass on basically doing anything because it was a recovery from work day, and Todd and I started another series that we are probably going to become obsessed with. A good day. Thank you babe and babes...I LOVE you.

So long sweet summer

18 days. That is how many days of our summer we spent at our house. 18 days in three months. The thought of back blogging on a whole summers worth of excitement basically makes me want to tear my hair out. So, I've decided to skip it. 18 home days and probably 18,000 pictures later our summer has come to an end and I will just have to cherish all those lovely memories in my heart, and on my hard drive. I'm secretly excited to get back into a routine. I secretly can't wait to be bored because there is nothing to do. I'm excited to read peoples blogs again, and make Lucy bows and edit photos and blow dry my hair and do things that I never took time to do during our summer whirlwind of awesomeness. Anywhoo.. here is us moving forward. Last night we went camping up Big Cottonwood with eight or so couples from dental school and their kids.  Lucy has been camping more in her 4 months of life, than I had in my first 22 years. As usual, it was a blast. Four of us couples stayed up until 3:30 laughing, telling stories and playing truth or dare. I love how funny everything gets the later it gets. Something about a camp fire just brings something out in people. We HEART camping.

mudding

I love getting so dirty I have to throw away my clothes, I love mud splashing in my eyes and soaking my hair, I love screaming like a little girl, then laughing so hard I can't catch my breath. I love mud in my teeth and dirt in my belly button. I love mudding, and I think my friends loved it too.

Bear World

Bear World was the best. We took Opal through the park and the poor thing got mauled by a giant black bear. A bear jumped up on it's back legs and peeked into the window, we were breaking all the rules and had the screen open and it clawed right through the screen,a foot from Stuarts face. We were all screaming and laughing, it was AMAZING. We went through the park a second time and another bear did the same thing. The boys were all trying to call it with dog barks, and yips and all sorts of noises. I can't wait to take Lucy there when she is older. We are three for three for bears jumping up on the car. When I was younger a bear jumped up to the windows of our old motor home when we went through. Pretty cool experiences.

Five years

Happy five years to us. I've laughed every single day for 1825 days. I couldn't be more happy or grateful that we have each other, and that I am married to my best friend. He makes me better. He thinks I'm pretty, he thinks I'm funny, he'll act like a five-year-old with me. We have secret handshakes and inside jokes. He'll do anything I ask, and go anywhere I want to go. I'm so grateful for all the adventures we have had over the past five years, and so grateful to be sharing the biggest adventure of our lives together... Parenthood. Love you todd, thanks for being my guy

part 2

We spent the night of the fourth on the lake. Starting with the parade of boats. It was breath taking to see all the boats out on the lake with their lights on waiting for the fire works to start. We listened to Neil Diamond and Toby Keith pretty much making our independence day complete. The fireworks were incredible, it was so fun to see the reflection on the water and hear the echo go through the mountains. What a beautiful way to celebrate our country. P.S I'm aware Lucys bow was just way to big for her head, that is why it only made its appearance to the boat parade. P.P.S Remember that one time I was going to go private? Well, turns out you can only have 100 readers and we love some of you guys too much to give you the boot, so hello world we are staying open... with a few modifications for privacy.
