We have been playing upholsterists for the last few days. Todd had this genius idea to get pads from an upholstery shop cut them to fit the element, and then cover them ourselves. We spent a couple hours figuring out dimensions, a couple hours trying to find the perfect material to cover them with, and a couple hours sewing these little buggers. It was so cute/annoying watching Todd sew the ends together with a needle and thread.. he's such a perfectionist! We are pretty freakin' pleased with ourselves. We even had a mini sleepover in the car when they were finally finished. Seven inch custom mattress with a memory foam topper. You can feel free to stop feeling bad for us sleeping in our car. I'd take this baby over a Marriot bed any day.
